BBI World Championships
Aylesbury, Bucks - 2nd November 2008

Team Dragon nab 15 medals at BBI World Championships!

Team Dragon were on form on Sunday November 2nd, with 12 fighters competing in the BBI World championships held at Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. As usual the team did not disappoint and all members performed very well, and with three taking their prospective divisions by storm they hauled in a remarkable 8 first places between them (wow!)

The tournament was very well run with eight rings running throughout the day. Sections involved were Kata, semi contact judo, light continuous and MMA. The refereeing was good and fair, and the control of the Light continuous was excellent.

The results
Nathan Coleman 14yrs - 5'4" 1st Semi 1st Light (World Champion x 2)
Louise Nelson adult - 5'2" 1st semi, 1st Light, 1st Korean Pattern 1st Team Kata

The results show that we had a great day, and none of our fighters were beaten in there first fight. Well done all!

P.S. As well as having a great day at the BBI, we had two fighters representing us in the British finals of the KTBF held in Leicester.

A day of great results, and this was the day that Coach Pete Cook hung up his gloves. At 47 years old Pete has decided that he is retiring from competition.
