British Six Foot Championships
Worcester, 14th December 2008

Coach Pete Cook went down to Worcester with Tom, Becky and Mark Smart. Also attending was Callum Thompson. Even with ten of our team qualifying for the end of year final, only one Dragon was able to compete.

At the close of a very busy year, the other team members were either laid up with injuries or otherwise engaged, but this didn't stop Tom Smart. Warming up in his first section, he won with ease.

Then came the Final and the chance to win the British series and six-foot trophy. Tom started with the semi contact, winning comfortably. Next up for him was the Light continuous. This was a 4-way final, but Tom showed technique, fitness and strength to take the win and his second title of the day.

That's it for this year - and what a year it's been! Watch out for our report.

Final comment - WELL DONE TOM!
