Friday September 7th saw Big Alwyn Harris in his 4th full contact fight held at Kelham Hall in Newark.

Al took on a local newark lad, and this fight was full of excitment with the first 20 seconds seeing big Al hit the canvas with a shock attack, After that Al settled in and with a smashing cross took his opponent to the floor. After an 8 count his opponent was still dazed and Al went for the stoppage. The bell went for the first round. After that, the next 2 rounds were all Big Al hurting his opponent with his jab and kicks, at the end of the fight it was clear that Al had won.

Coaches Pete Cook and Colin Muress both said that Al had worked hard and listened well to instructions. He deserved the win and was unlucky not to have stopped his opponent who was a good game fighter. All in all, the venue was great and the running of the event was very good. WELL DONE BIG AL!
