Callum's report
It was a cracking day with some great fights. Tom was first matched up against Steven Delaney, a strong lad from Tyler Shakespeare's Saxon gym, who beat Tom last year at WKA. This meant Tom was out for revenge! Steven came out like a steam train on Tom. He was very strong lad, and according to Tom: "the strongest lad I have fought to date."

The first round was very messy, and could have gone either way. Probably just nipped more kicks. The second round - after a few wise words telling Tom to fight his fight, not the other lad's fight. The opponent's corner threw in the towel halfway through the second round. This was Tom's first win to become the WKA -75 British champ....

Just before the first fight, I was asked if he would go up to -80kg to fight a lad - Rapheil Whittaker - as there was no one up for it. This lad was from the same club. This time, Tom fought his own fight, moving and picking his shots nicely, chopping the body down with big round house kicks. At the beginning of the 3rd round, they threw the towel in again. Of course, I was more than pleased with Tom winning -75 and -80kg on the same night. Finally, let me give a big thanks to the WKA team for a crackin' event!
