ISKA State Finals, 19th September 2010

Team Dragon Australia - in action on Sunday 19th September

The Bayside Black Dragon clubs went down to the ISKA State Finals in what was to be the 1st competition for 5 members. The tournament was held at the All Saints Anglican School in Merrimac on the Gold Coast in Queensland. All the Dragons performed well, and did what coach Pete Cook asked of them.

Results are as follows:

Phoebe Coleman - after winning the state title the week before at AMAC Phoebe went 1 better by winning 1st x2
Nathan Coleman took a 1st in Semi and then a 2nd in Continuous
Paul Brownie - in his first comp won a 1st in the semi point stop
Paul Dunster - in his first comp won a 1st in the continuous
Leila Bloomfield - in her first comp won a 1st in the 12-13 yrs semi point stop
Mark Bloomfield took a 3rd place in the continuous
Dan Platt took a 4th in the continuous

Phoebe Coleman 12yrs advanced 1st semi point stop
1st continuous
Nathan Coleman 16yrs advanced 1st semi point stop
2nd continuous
Paul Brownie adult novice -65kg 1st semi point stop
Paul Dunster adult novice -80kg 1st continuous
Leila Bloomfield 12yrs novice 1st semi point stop
Mark Bloomfield adult novice +85kg 3rd continuous
Dan Platt adult novice -75kg 4th continuous

All in all a good day with a good test for our newcomers. Our next comp is in November, with Phoebe fighting off for the Australian title in Sydney. Here are some pics from the day.
