On Saturday April 5th, Coventry Kickboxing Club held a full contact show with 5 of our team fighting.

First off was Pete Cook’s student Tom Smart. At 14 years old Tom took on a stronger 16 year old over 3 rounds. This fight went all the way with the result being a well deserved draw.
Next up was Colin Muress’s student Simon, who also took a draw. Colin then had Paul Mayfield fight, winning every round.
Pete Cook’s student was then in the ring. At 17 years old, Callum Thompson (thug) took on a strong 28 year old. Callum showed a mature 3 rounds and took the win.
Last up for Dragons was Pete and Colin’s student Big Alwyn Harris. This was the top bill, fighting for the English title over 5 rounds. Al had a good fight but took a punishing hook to the body in the 4th round, and was counted out.

The night was well run and entertaining.
